Εφημερίς «ΑΤΛΑΝΤΙΣ»

«Η «Πανελλήνιος Ένωσις» πάνυ ευγενώς ανέλαβεν όπως επιδώση τό δι’ εισφορών τών εν Αμερική Ελλήνων αγορασθέν αργυρούν κύπελλον εις τόν κ. Γεώργιον Χόρτων, γενικόν Πρόξενον τής Αμερικής εν Αθήναις. Τό κύπελλον ηγοράσθη αντί $110, είνε καλλιτεχνικώτατον, κατεσκευάσθη δέ υπό τής Gorham Manufacturing Company καί φερει τήν εξής επιγραφήν:

Τό εισπραχθέν ποσόν υπέρ αγοράς τού κυπέλλου ανήρχετο εις $101 ως εδημοσιεύθη προχθές. Έκτοτε ελήφθησαν $1 παρά τού εν Νιουάρα κ. Γεωργίου Παπαδοπούλου $8 παρά τού κ. Ιωάννου Κούνε καί παρά τών εν Λάριμονθ τής Βορείου Δακότας κ. Ν. Ι Οικονόμου καί Θωμά Ν. Κόληα $2, ήτοι εν όλω $100.
Η επίδοσις τού κυπέλλου θέλει γίνη τό εσπέρας τής προσεχούς Τρίτης 10 Δεκεμβρίου εν τή εν Νέα Υόρκη αιθούση τής «Πανελληνίου Ενώσεως» 241 East 14th Street περί ώραν 8.30 μετά μεσημβρίαν.

The ‘Pan-Hellenic Union” very nobly undertook the responsibility to present the silver cup, bought with the donations from the Hellenes of America, to Mr. George Horton, general Ambassador of America to Athens. The cup was bought for 110$, it is most artistically crafted and made by Gorham Manufacturing Company and bears the inscription:

To
George Horton
With gratitude
New York, December 1907
The collected amount for the purchase of the cup came to 101$ as was published before yesterday. Since then 1$ was received from Mr. George Papadopoulos in Nioura, 8$ from Mr. John Koune and 2$ from Mr. N. I. Oikonomou and Thomas N. Kolea in Larimonth of North Dakota; that is, a total of 100$.
The presentation of the cup will take place in the evening of the following Tuesday, the 10th of December in the hall of the “Pan-Hellenic Union” in New York, on 241 East 14th Street at about the hour of 8:30 pm.
