An example of an organization using our Internet services is the AHEPA, Forum Professors & PhDs, the Hellas discussion list, etc. which are the main source of information for Diaspora Greeks over the Internet. Αγαπητέ Φίλε, Το Ελληνικό Ηλεκρονικό Κέντρο (HEC) είναι ένας οργανισμός που έχει σαν σκοπό την προώθηση του ελληνικού πολιτισμού μέσω του Διαδικτύου. Το HEC προσφέρει δωρεάν υπηρεσίες Διαδικτύου σε ελληνικούς μη κερδοσκοπικούς οργανισμούς. Επίσης συνεργάζεται με άτομα και ιδρύματα για την δημιουργία και δημοσίευση έργων με ελληνικό περιεχόμενο. Τα μέλη του HEC είναι εθελοντές απο όλο τον κόσμο, κυρίως Έλληνες της Διασποράς, που θέλουν να διατηρήσουν και να διαδόσουν την πολιτιστική τους κληρονομιά. Το HEC είναι μη κερδοσκοπικός οργανισμός εγγεγραμμένος στις ΗΠΑ και χρηματοδοτούμενος απο άτομα και εταιρείες-χορηγούς. Η καθημερινή του λειτουργία πραγματοποιείται μέσω του Διαδικτύου. Κανείς απο τα μέλη του HEC δεν πληρώνεται για την εθελοντική τους εργασία. Παράδειγμα ενός έργου του HEC είναι η Ρωμιοσύνη, μια σειρά άρθρων για την ελληνική ιστορία κατά τους βυζαντινούς χρόνους. Παράδειγμα οργανισμών και Λίστες που χρησιμοποιούν τις υπηρεσίες μας είναι η AHEPA, Φόρουμ Επιστημόνων, ο κατάλογος συζήτησης Ελλάς, κλπ. που είναι κύριες πηγές πληροφοριών για τους Έλληνες της Διασποράς στο Διαδίκτυο.
