Dear Parliamentarians of Greece,
My beloved Yiayia was a survivor of the turkish genocide of Asia Minor
Greeks. I am appalled and ashamed that there is even any discussion in
planning to remove references to the word "genocide" from any parliamentary
law.
I am proud of my Greek heritage and urge you not to bow to pressure from
Turkey to deny the historical reality of this genocide. Allow me and my
fellow Greek Americans to remain proud of our heritage and do not try to
erase the suffering of my grandparents and others like them.
